People of Caribbean heritage make up a significant part of the population of countries outside of the Caribbean. They reside in countries on all continents, with the majority based in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and across Europe.

The reasons for settlement are varied, from seeking wider employment  opportunities to educational advancement: and some stay for short periods or extend their stay permanently.

Caribbean governments recognize the value of such citizens and are working to tap into the power of their diaspora in nation building.
